How a chart gets built
Each step depends on the one before it.
Your birth moment becomes one instant
Local time to UTC using the rules in force that year, not today's. Most free sites skip this, and when they do every house moves.
The sky is read, not looked up
VSOP87 and Brown’s lunar theory place each graha to about an arcminute. That is finer than the tradition can use. Which is the point.
Nothing is invented on top
You get placements and what the texts assign to them. No dates, no remedies to buy, and when your birth time is missing we drop the houses and say so.

Why does my birth time matter so much?
The Ascendant moves a degree every four minutes, and every house is measured from it. An hour's error usually rearranges the whole chart. It is the one field worth digging out a certificate for.
What if nobody wrote down my birth time?
Tick the box. You keep grahas, signs, aspects and nakshatras — everything that does not depend on the clock. We leave out the Ascendant and houses rather than guess. And we tell you exactly what is missing.
Why is my Vedic rashi different from my Western sign?
They count from different starting points. Sidereal is pinned to the stars. Tropical is pinned to the equinox. The two have drifted 24.2° apart. Same sky, different zero. Neither one is wrong.
Where do the numbers come from?
An open-source ephemeris built on VSOP87 and Brown’s lunar theory. Our Lahiri ayanamsa matches the published values to within half an arcminute. That holds from 1900 to 2100, which is the range our tests cover.
Do you keep my birth details?
No. The chart is computed per request and lives in the URL. No account, no database row, no email. Close the tab and nothing remains.
Will you tell me when I will get married?
No, and neither can anyone else. A chart holds placements, not dates. A site that prints a marriage year from a birth date is guessing. It only sounds confident. That is where this subject does the most damage.
