What the classical Gochara table says about today

4/9 Grahas Favourable
Mixed
Partial · 44%

4 of the 9 grahas the tradition rates count in your favour from Tula today. The Moon is one of them, so Chandrabalam is with you. It is the part that moves fastest. That changes at Mon 11:15.

5 would have counted. Another graha stands in the house the tradition says holds each of them back.

This rates the transit, not you. It is a count of where the grahas stand, and it says nothing about how your day will go.

Career and work
Goes easily

Ask for what you want

Shani (Saturn) sits in your 6th house, which the tradition ties to daily work, routine, illness and debt. A reasonable stretch to be visible, to put a case, and to start the thing you have been circling.

Shani (Saturn) · 6th house

Money and finances
Needs care

Keep the outgoings tight

Surya (Sun) in your 12th house touches spending, rest, letting go and life abroad. Worth pausing on the unnecessary spend and checking what is on autopay — not because anything is coming, but because attention is cheap.

Not financial advice. Never an amount, a direction or a date.

Say the harder thing kindly

Rahu in your 5th house touches children, study and what you create. The tradition reads this as friction rather than distance: worth being plain rather than smoothing over, and worth letting the other person finish.

Health and energy

The energy is there

Shani (Saturn) in your 6th house relates to daily work, routine, illness and debt. A reasonable stretch to build a routine you can keep — sleep, movement, regular meals.

Not medical advice. If something is wrong, see a doctor — this is never a reason to wait.

What to do today

  • Trust your read today

The Moon is read as the settled mind. Your instinct about siblings and short trips is worth acting on. The Moon moves within about two days, so this is a short window.

    Chandra (Moon) · 3rd house

  • Do the dull work

Saturn is read as patient effort, and it is favourable in only three houses of twelve — this is one. Slow, unglamorous work on work and health adds up today.

    Shani (Saturn) · 6th house

  • Start it, do not plan it

Mars is read as drive. Effort on your job and reputation goes further today than usual. Begin the thing rather than spending the day preparing to.

    Mangal (Mars) · 10th house

What to avoid today

  • Keep the plan small

Jupiter is read as making things bigger — including costs. Keep plans around your job and reputation to a size you can carry without help.

    Guru (Jupiter) · 10th house

  • Let someone else be right

The Sun here is read as pushing against somebody else’s authority. Press on rest and spending today and you meet resistance. Give way; it costs nothing.

    Surya (Sun) · 12th house

Today's mantra

108 Japa Recitations

The beeja mantra the tradition assigns to Shukra (Venus), the lord of Tula.

ॐ द्रां द्रीं द्रौं सः शुक्राय नमः

oṁ drāṁ drīṁ drauṁ saḥ śukrāya namaḥ

Printed because the texts assign it, not prescribed as a fix. This site does not sell remedies, and it does not claim a mantra changes what the sky is doing.

Why some favourable placements do not count

The classical table has a second half. A graha in a house the table likes gives nothing while another graha sits in the paired house — vedha, meaning obstruction. Saturn in your 3rd is favourable, but not while something stands in your 12th. This reading applies that pairing to all nine grahas.

There is a further rule, vipreet vedha, where an obstruction cancels a difficult placement instead. The texts state it as a principle rather than a table. The sources do not agree on one table, so we do not count it here.

This is the sky, not your chart

Everything above is true for everyone with this sign. What makes it yours is where these bodies fell when you were born — that needs your date, time and place.
