What the classical Gochara table says about today
2 of the 9 grahas the tradition rates count in your favour from Makara today. The Moon is not one of them, so Chandrabalam is absent today. It is the part that moves fastest. That changes at Thu 09:35.
3 would have counted. Another graha stands in the house the tradition says holds each of them back.
This rates the transit, not you. It is a count of where the grahas stand, and it says nothing about how your day will go.

Overall status
Where a graha is actually standing in the houses that signify each area, counted from Makara.
A chance to be seen at work
A promising window to make visible strides in your professional life. The Upside: A good time to put your ideas and effort where people can see them. What to watch for: Taking on too many new commitments at once in your enthusiasm. Advice: Step forward, pitch that idea, or begin the project you have been putting off. (Astrology detail: Supported by Surya (Sun) in your 10th house of work, standing and what the world sees).
Surya (Sun) · 10th house
Prudent budgeting and mindful spending
A time to keep outgoings tight and protect your financial buffer. The Upside: Spotting small leaks early keeps your hard-earned savings secure and steady. What to watch for: Unplanned impulse purchases and forgotten subscriptions running on autopay. Advice: Pause before non-essential buys, review your bank statement, and keep some savings easy to reach. (Astrology detail: Influenced by Rahu in your 2nd house of money, speech and the family you were born into).
Astrological perspectives for self-reflection, not financial advice.
Rahu · 2nd house
Patience, gentle listening, and mutual space
A period that calls for extra tenderness and emotional patience in partnerships. The Upside: Working through small misunderstandings now creates deeper long-term trust. What to watch for: Overreacting to minor irritability or making assumptions about the other person's intent. Advice: Speak plainly and kindly, give each other breathing room, and let difficult conversations cool down before concluding. (Astrology detail: Influenced by Mangal (Mars) in your 7th house of partners, marriage and anyone you deal with one to one).
Mangal (Mars) · 7th house
Protect your rest and honour your natural pace
A phase that reminds you to listen closely to your body's subtle signals. The Upside: Looking after yourself now is easier than catching up later. What to watch for: Skipping meals, staying up late, or pushing through fatigue with sheer willpower. Advice: Simplify your daily schedule, maintain a nourishing routine, and give yourself permission to recharge. (Astrology detail: Influenced by Chandra (Moon) in your 8th house of what you share with others, inheritance, and what is out of your hands).
Astrology for reflection, not medical advice. For any health worry, see a doctor, and don't wait on a chart.
Chandra (Moon) · 8th house
What to do today
Build with steady discipline
Patience and discipline count for a lot around siblings and short trips today. The Upside: The ability to focus deeply and build something that lasts. What to watch for: Becoming too rigid or refusing to ask for help. Advice: Put in slow, steady effort today. This is the kind of work Saturn favours. (Astrology detail: Saturn is favourable here today).
Shani (Saturn) · 3rd house
Step forward with confidence
A bright and confident energy surrounds your job and reputation today. The Upside: You have a natural authority right now, making it easy to be seen and heard. What to watch for: Forgetting to acknowledge the team or people supporting you. Advice: Step forward, make your case, and let your work shine. (Astrology detail: The Sun is favourable here today).
Surya (Sun) · 10th house
What to avoid today
Allow time to process
Heightened sensitivity might colour your perspective on shared money. The Upside: Deep empathy and a chance to process lingering feelings. What to watch for: Taking casual comments too personally or reacting defensively. Advice: Give yourself time to process your emotions before making permanent decisions. (Astrology detail: The Moon stands unfavourably here today).
Chandra (Moon) · 8th house
Keep the plan small
Ambitions around shared money might outpace reality today. The Upside: Big ideas and visionary thinking. What to watch for: Biting off more than you can chew or overextending your resources. Advice: Keep the plan small, stay grounded, and focus on what you can comfortably manage. (Astrology detail: Jupiter stands unfavourably here today).
Guru (Jupiter) · 8th house
Skip the argument
Friction and impatience could easily spark around your partner. The Upside: A burst of physical energy that can be channeled into hard work. What to watch for: Snapping at others or escalating minor disagreements. Advice: Skip the argument, put your head down, and burn off the heat through exercise or focused tasks. (Astrology detail: Mars stands unfavourably here today).
Mangal (Mars) · 7th house
Today's mantra
The beeja mantra the tradition assigns to Shani (Saturn), the lord of Makara.
ॐ प्रां प्रीं प्रौं सः शनैश्चराय नमः
oṁ prāṁ prīṁ prauṁ saḥ śanaiścarāya namaḥ
Printed because the texts assign it, not prescribed as a fix. This site does not sell remedies, and it does not claim a mantra changes what the sky is doing.

Every graha, its house from Makara, and what the classical Gochara table makes of it. This is the computation the cards above are built from.

| Guru (Jupiter) | 8th | Simha 0° | Unfavourable |

Why some favourable placements do not count
The classical table has a second half. A graha in a house the table likes gives nothing while another graha sits in the paired house — vedha, meaning obstruction. Saturn in your 3rd is favourable, but not while something stands in your 12th. This reading applies that pairing to all nine grahas.
There is a further rule, vipreet vedha, where an obstruction cancels a difficult placement instead. The texts state it as a principle rather than a table. The sources do not agree on one table, so we do not count it here.
This is the sky, not your chart
Everything above is true for everyone with this sign. What makes it yours is where these bodies fell when you were born — that needs your date, time and place.
